Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are united under the Regional Development Board. Vreta Educational Centre is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Educational Centre is situated in Norrköping, and Lunnevad Folk High School lies between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

Himmelstalund Educational Centre offers the Nature Management Programme with specializations in Horticulture and Animal Care. Additionally, the adapted upper secondary school's national programs Forestry, Land and Animals, as well as the Individual Programme, are offered. Vocational adult education and vocational higher education are available within Horticulture.

Job Description

We are looking for a Physical Education teacher who is qualified to teach the subject at the upper secondary level.

We want you to be qualified in combination with another subject at the upper secondary level, preferably mathematics or a vocational course/subject within nature management. The position is a temporary replacement during the academic year and involves teaching on the Nature Management Programme, where theory and practice meet in the students' education.

Work Group

In the role of teacher, you are part of a unit that includes, among others, teachers in other common upper secondary subjects.

About You

For this position, we are looking for you who have a teaching degree and teaching license, as well as subject competence in Physical Education at the upper secondary level in combination with another subject, preferably mathematics at the upper secondary level. Qualifications/experience in vocational courses/subjects offered on the Nature Management Programme are meritorious.

You have an upper secondary teacher's degree with subject qualification for your subjects. We want you to have experience working with young people and a good ability to spark interest in your subjects.

You have very good communicative skills in Swedish, both oral and written, and can adapt your message to the target group's conditions. You have an easy time building relationships and see development opportunities in everyone, meeting students based on their knowledge and needs.

The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, which is why good cooperation and initiative skills are important qualities, as well as the ability to work independently. You have an interest in nature management, vocational education, and cross-curricular teaching.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
